JOB SUMMARY: The Purchasing Assistant is responsible to pull and package stock to fill Internal Requisitions and place for out-going delivery. Deliver orders to LifeStream facilities. Receive incoming shipments and place in warehouse. The Purchasing Assistant is also responsible to back-up the Courier Driver when needed.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES: The list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this classification with or without an accommodation. Must be knowledgeable in Freight handling. Basic computer skills. Good driving skills. Good communication skills when dealing with internal and external customers. Good documentation skills for reporting any shipment discrepancies. The ability to work autonomously or in team with others is essential to the success of this position. This employee must be able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers. Ability to lift and move heavy items on a daily basis both manually and with proper equipment.PERSONAL QUALITIES: Well organized, ability to manage time and complete work in a timely manner. Must be able to establish good working relationships with center management, staff, and delivery drivers.SPECIAL FACTORS: Must have a valid Driver's License (meets Company requirements), ability to drive delivery van and load and unload supplies when necessary.   • High School diploma or equivalent required * Experience:*
  • A minimum of one (1) year retail or equivalent warehouse and delivery experience required * Driving Requirements: * Must be Over the age of 21 required * Minimum of 5-years driving experience required * Possess a Valid FL Driver's license (within 30 days of hire if currently do not possess)* Possess a continuously valid US Driver's license for the past three years, from date of issue required * Safe Driving record requiredTRAINING & DEVELOPMENT: Completes all requirements according to Individual Training Plan within the first six months of hire and annually. Other training and/or professional development may be assigned due to evolution of programs
