Gustave A. Larson is a leading wholesale distributor of HVAC, and Refrigeration (HVACR) equipment, parts, and supplies. Our business philosophy is to focus on serving the needs of our customers, with a value-added, professional, and enthusiastic attitude. Under the direction of the Product Lifecycle Manager, the individual will support the Inventory Management Department with a variety of clerical and administrative duties to maintain fluidity of daily operations. This individual will also provide support in the procurement of primary product lines in accordance with established and approved departmental and Company procedures.

Primary Responsibilities

1.Provide price and availability information on stock and non stock items for store personnel

2.Data entry of purchase orders into our supplier's on-line system

3.Entering estimated shipping dates on open purchase order

4.Updating costs for selected invoices and approving invoices for payment

5.Follow-up on past due purchase orders

6.Data entry of branch stock pulls

7.Freight shortages/overages with suppliers after consulting with Inventory Manager

8.Analyzing special order product to determine potential new stock items

9.Generate Cost of Goods Sold reports on a quarterly basis for select suppliers

Skills/ Qualifications

  • Commitment to excellent customer service.

  • Able to prioritize responsibilities, demonstrated time-management and organizational skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, math skills, with ability perform and learn the requirements of the position within assigned training period.

  • Effective Team Player, ability to lead, demonstrates confidentiality, and takes initiative.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree (Supply Chain and Operations Management Focus is a plus)

  • Distributor experience a plus

  • Experience in a pricing, purchasing, and financial analysis role preferred

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel required.

  • Experience with an automated, computerized purchasing system a plus.
