The Purchasing Assistant will review store requests and take appropriate action to fulfill or respond to store needs. This position will provide purchasing support for Corporate purchasing needs and be responsible for follow up on open purchasing orders, resolve invoice issues and assist with other projects as necessary.
Review store requests and collaborate with necessary parties to develop a disposition of requests
Process monthly store supply needs, identify any issues with orders, and ensure orders are processed properly manage open to buy as needed
Work with Accounts Payable, Suppliers, and Buyers to resolve invoice vs purchase order issues
Review open purchase orders and determine if the item is late or missing goods receipt and work with end users, buyers or vendors to resolve identified issues
Process requisitions for assigned categories, converting requests to purchase orders, identify sources as needed
High school diploma and 1 year understanding of the purchasing process, invoicing, or store operations required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree and 1 year experience preferred
Strong verbal & written communication Skills to express requested needs and communicate with stores, buyers, suppliers, and other parties
Solid skills in planning and organization with a focus on customer relations
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel data manipulation
