Purchasing Agent I

As a Purchasing Agent I, you'll be using your skills and expertise to purchase materials, supplies, and services on the most favorable terms for the organization. You'll be responsible for qualifying our suppliers, monitoring and ensuring our supplier quality and delivery, evaluating bids, negotiating prices and terms for purchased goods and services, tracking purchases, and maintaining a current database of our supplier information.

Must-haves:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field and typically 0-2 or more years of relevant experience

• Higher education may substitute for relevant experience

• Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education

Preferred:

• Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) compliance

• Basic accounting skills

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $52,118.00 - $71,662.25. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
