Pay
This position is a non-exempt position at pay grade 105.
Attendance
Rotating 40-hour work week, 24-hour shifts, 7 days a week. Must be available to work additional hours as needed.

Overview
Responsibilities
Obey traffic laws while operating fleet vehicle and equipment, including a motorized street sweeper; Able to operate on even or uneven terrain
Perform daily pre/post trip inspections on all types of equipment and vehicles
Keep materials stocked in vehicles assigned, communicate when supply/ materials are low
Able to lead Public Work Technician I's
Clean trash and debris to maintain the streets and curb; Effectively conduct street sweeping to improve the appearance of roads, provide roads safety, reduce flooding associated with clogging of storm water systems, reduce pollution, enhance water quality and decrease wildlife exposure to potentially hazardous materials
Must be able to work under emergency responses during and/ or after any city emergency event; All employees will work On-Call Duty rotation schedule and must be able to work different rotation under emergency responses
Efficient customer service with internal and external customers
Communicate with Foreman, work coordinator, planner/scheduler, and assistant director
Complete daily reports and work orders
May be asked to perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Requires High School Diploma/ GED
Minimum of (2) two years of experience
Class B CDL
A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire

Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.

Selected applicants must be able to pass a background investigation and a pre-employment drug test.
