Position Description
The Town of Marana is seeking a Maintenance Associate II to work at the Marana RegionalAirport. This is a new full-time position and an exciting opportunity for someone interested in working for a location poised for major improvements and growth in the next several years.

Expected Hiring Range: $19.12/hr - $23.42/hr
Salary Range: $19.12/hr - $27.73/hr
Examples of Duties
Performs skilled and semi-skilled work in the operation and maintenance of the airport facilities, lighting and signage systems and light replacement
Operates equipment and/or machinery including trucks, tractor mower, power tools and grounds maintenance equipment
Assists in daily inspections of all airport safety, security and operational areas and equipment including runway and taxiways, airfield lighting, parking aprons, hangars, terminal buildings, fuel storage areasand perimeter fences and gates for compliance with Federal, State and local airport rules and regulations
Maintains perimeter gates, fences, and landscaping
Responds to and assists during facility equipment failure, airfield navigational aids, airfield lighting failures, building/structure emergencies, payment failures, hazardous incidents and related emergency situations
Performs custodial work or general labor as required and assigned; picks up litter from premises; locks and unlocks facilities as needed
Assists in setting up and taking down equipment for special events
On call work rotation
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalency
Over three (3) years of experience in general maintenance
Valid Arizona driver license
Must pass a pre-employment physical, 50 pound lift test and audiogram
Ability to pass both the Town of Marana background check and a motor vehicle records check
An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills & abilities to successfully perform essential functions may be considered.
