Job Description:
The Assistant Highway Program Manager is primarily responsible for the oversight of all pre-construction activities for the Program.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
The development and deployment of highway policy,
The review and approval of project budgets and schedules, and
Coaching and supporting of Program employees.
The position works closely with other Program Management staff to set goals and expectations for Highway Program performance, measurement of progress towards their attainment and ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of Highway Projects. This position also works with Management Staff to oversee and ensure statewide consistency in the application of standards, specifications and quality control for the Department's Highway Design work.
To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience:
Licensed as a Professional Engineer and four (4) years work experience in civil engineering at the professional level (beyond such licensure).
