Position Summary & Responsibilities:

This position provides support to education program consultants (EPC), the Perkins and Individual Plan of Study (IPS) Coordinator and the Assistant Director in the areas of CTE and Perkins. This position serves as project lead in a variety of tasks to plan and organize Kansas Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) and KSDE collaborative events so that functions and work of the CTSOs can be accomplished efficiently and with quality. This position serves as project lead in the maintenance of Perkins and OCR files and policy and procedure documents.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Six months of experience in providing direction necessary to implement the objectives of an agency, program or organizational unit. Education may be substituted for education as deemed relevant by the agency.

Preferred Skills and/or Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree;

  • Training in general office procedures or office management;

  • Strong personal computer skills and knowledge of software applications;

  • Use of office equipment including copiers, electronic calculators and other standard office equipment;

  • Knowledge of office management principles;

  • Knowledge of various forms, such as vouchers, purchase orders and invoices used in business transactions;

  • Effective interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills;

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment;

  • Effective oral and written communication skills;

  • Ability to accurately complete detailed work tasks; and

  • Knowledge of business correspondence and effective business English.

Preferred Experience:

Experience in MS Office programs and with web page support.
