Oracle's mission-focused SLG Infrastructure Sales team seeks a professional with a techno-savvy spirit and an ability to bring ideas, concepts, and people together to deliver cost-effective and technically-sound hardware solutions to Public Sector customers in California and Hawaiian regions, working together with two Field Sales Executives.
We are searching for a results-oriented hardware inside sales representative. Top Candidates possess a background selling into State and Local Government agencies, with on-premise and cloud-based public sector hardware systems.
The Product Portfolio consists of Engineered Systems (Exadata, PCA, ODA, & ZDLRA), Enterprise-class Private/Public Cloud solutions, x86/SPARC servers, and storage systems. Proficiency in the areas of Enterprise Architecture, OS, Database, Application, Storage, Virtualization, IaaS, and Cloud is expected.
Our target market is Public Sector Oracle Hardware (Engineered Systems / Oracle Database Appliance, Servers & Disk/Tape Storage) calling into the State & Local Government (SLG), including K-12 School Districts, County/City Hospitals, and Public Utilities.
The primary focus of our Public Sector Hardware Inside Sales Representative is to sell Infrastructure and Cloud solutions and services to existing Oracle customers and to prospect for new customers in the assigned territory or vertical.
The successful candidate will be able to generate sales leads as well as closing the sales on line or by phone. We utilize inbound and/or outbound calls to pursue sales.
They will develop account penetration strategies and closes business. They will be responsible for understanding Oracle's product offerings and competitive issues.
The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities by creating and implementing territory campaigns with management assistance. They will be responsible to liaise with customer contacts for the purpose of managing the customer relationship, identifying new opportunities, and selling Oracle products and services. You will be an important part of the sales team and work with field sales, support, consulting and education sales.
The successful candidate will have 3+ years of inside sales / telesales experience preferably selling oracle or competitive hardware
State and Local Government agency account sales experience is preferred
Hardware solution sales experience is preferred
The successful candidate will have met or exceeded their quota history
Strong communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively over the telephone with high level decision makers
Ability to work independently, as well as part of an extended team.
Bachelor degree in Business or Computer Science or equivalent, preferred

The primary focus of an Internet Sales representative is to sell solutions and services to existing Oracle customers and to prospect for new customers in the assigned territory or vertical.
As an Internet Sales Representative you will sell products and services to an assigned geographic or national account base territory to achieve assigned objectives. Generates sales leads as well as closing the sales on line or by phone.
Utilizes inbound and/or outbound calls to pursue sales. Develops account penetration strategies, and closes business . Responsible for understanding Oracle's product offerings and competitive issues. Identifies new business opportunities by creating and implementing territory campaigns with management assistance.
Liaise with customer contacts for the purpose of managing the customer relationship, identifying new opportunities, and selling Oracle products and services. Participates as a team member on sales teams including field sales, support and education sales and sales consulting.
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures.
Works under general supervision. Seeks intervention from his/her manager on complex deals that fall outside of existing guidelines. 3 years of relevant experience. Ability to communicate effectively over the telephone with high level decision makers.
