Under the supervision of the Director, Safety & Security, responsible for system-wide safety, security and emergency response activities. Interprets and applies security guidelines as appropriate. Manages and supervises the operation and training of Public Safety Officers assigned to shift to provide a quality security program that maintains a safe and secure environment for Northside Gwinnett, its patients, visitors, staff and all facilities against property damage or casualty loss.
Associate Degree or higher preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2 or more years supervision or management experience required preferably in a healthcare environment.
Ability to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills including use of personal computer and report writing.
Excellent interpersonal skills are desired.
Must be able to deal effectively with public in a firm but courteous manner.
Must be able to perform under stressful situations, achieve work objectives and maintain the hospital's community relations philosophy.
