CareSTL Health seeks full-time Public Safety Officers (Armed) responsible for ensuring the routine safety and well being of all staff, visitors, and patients of across each of the organizations health center locations.
Partners with Health Center staff to alleviate potential security threats
Patrols buildings and parking lots on a routine basis and identify unsafe conditions and improperly secured areas/property to help prevent theft, injuries or damage
Acts in the capacity of a safety escort to personnel, patients, and visitors requesting escort
Monitors facility to ensure that guidelines and policies are observed, utilizing electronic surveillance system(s), and physical tours of the health center areas
Ensures that the facility is vacant at the close of each business day prior securing the building
Provides emergency response to a variety of situations
Acts as a first responder to HAZMAT incidents
Prepares and submit written reports in a complete and accurate manner and log all incidents
Performs general support activities and carries out special projects as required
A Successful Candidate:
Knowledge of the safety requirements of maintaining firearm
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Effective collaboration and negation skills
Ability to maintain decorum and professionalism in stressful situations
Education: High School Diploma or GED required
Current metropolitan security license with (ARMED) status (Revolver or Semi-Auto endorsement)
Experience: Must have 3-5 years of related experience in security. Experience in security in a healthcare setting is preferred
Other: Must have reliable transportation.
Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time
