ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: Rotating 40 hour work week, 4/10 schedule Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Must be available to work additional hours as needed, including Sundays and holidays.

Responsibilities
Working independently, operates self-loader to pick up special collections and bulky items throughout the City. As required, may assist work crews making scheduled brush collections along designated routes and may be required to operate brush trucks.
Performs pre-and-post-trip inspections of equipment, making minor adjustments/repairs, and reporting major problems requiring mechanic attention. Completes trip reports. Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
Provides information by responding courteously and professionally to inquiries and complaints and taking appropriate action to resolve problems. May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Position requires High School Diploma or GED with minimum of two (2) years of experience. A valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License is required at time of hire. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License within 90 days of hire.

Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
Closing Statement
Selected applicants must be able to pass a background investigation and a pre-employment drug test.
Any position that lists a minimum qualification for education level and/or license/certification will require the applicant to provide proof of documentation if selected for hire into the position with the City of Corpus Christi.
