TogoRun is an award-winning global health communications agency with offices in New York, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles and Boston. We specialize in strategic healthcare public relations and public affairs, and our clients include many of the world's leading healthcare companies and nonprofit organizations.

We are seeking creative, smart and passionate self-starters to join our team for TogoRun's paid fall internship program. As an intern, you will receive the small agency experience of a healthcare boutique that allows for hands-on training and access to senior leadership as well as big-picture insights and client exposure from working within TogoRun's larger Omnicom network.

Key Qualifications

  • Coursework in public relations, journalism, marketing, public health or related field

  • Excellent writing, analytical and oral skills

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet research

  • Interest in health-related work or prior agency experience is a plus

  • An open mind and readiness to learn!

Timing: Official start and end dates are flexible, but the fall internship generally runs from mid-August to mid-December.

Availability: Full-time (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday-Friday)

The substantive work experience and solid professional training that interns gain through this program creates a strong foundation for their budding careers. Each intern is assigned a point person and works primarily within one of FleishmanHillard's practice groups, listed below. Interns are expected to work with professionals in their practice groups, and around the office, in order to gain an understanding of our clients' various industries. Interns experience multiple facets of the communications industry and engage with account staff on a variety of projects, including research, writing, event coordination and staffing, media relations and creative brainstorming. While a strong interest in public relations is a must, our internship is not exclusive to public relations or communications majors. FleishmanHillard hires interns for spring, summer and fall semesters that mirror a standard academic calendar. Full-time, paid internships (37.5 hours per week) are available, but no part-time. Interns are compensated on the same schedule as all other FleishmanHillard employees and receive overtime pay when applicable.
