Specific Responsibilities

  • Track Frye's press coverage by monitoring upcoming earned credits, as well as searching for Frye & other keywords using Google's news search platform on a daily/weekly basis.

  • Send a weekly press impressions report, ensuring all unique monthly visitor & circulation statistics are accurate.

  • Work with graphics team to compile a monthly press/celebrity placement deck.

  • Work with Accounts Payable department to ensure all PR invoices are submitted and paid on time. Track all invoices in the PR department's Invoice Log and send a monthly update of invoices & status updates to Senior Director at the end of each month.

  • Handle correspondence with external entities for general day-to-day press requests, including editorial requests, VIP requests, and studio services requests.

  • Track sample send outs and orders from the warehouse for celebrity/VIP, editorial requests and studio services.

  • Maintain PR contact database & ensure all press, influencer & music industry contacts are up to date.

  • Field all inquiries sent to Frye's general PR email on a daily basis.

  • Continuously update the PR department calendar and assist Sr. Director in developing press, gifting and partnership strategies. Research cultural events & potential gifting/ partnership opportunities.

  • Maintain constant contact with regional and national PR firms - proactively ensuring they have required sample sets & hi-res imagery of product.

  • Help create fall and spring look books for both Frye's celebrity/VIP firm and national PR firm.

  • Place seasonal sample orders with merchandising team and track the arrivals of each sample to ensure PR firms receive their sample set in a timely fashion.

  • Assist in writing/editing press releases and media alerts for store events and brand launches.

  • Assist in all phases of event production for in-store events, activations and seasonal press previews.

  • Work with graphics team to develop event invites and event signage.

  • Communicate with regional PR firms to manage local PR initiatives & event production (RSVPs, etc.).

  • Create event wrap-up reports to track ROI; file event imagery & gather social impressions from social media manager.

  • Update event tracker document with store sales data as needed.

  • Manage artist gifting organization & logistics for Frye's music festival activations (3-4 times per year).

  • Create gifting form using Google Forms for performing artists, track & order all product, create gifting face sheet, handle shipping of product and display materials to activation.

Skills and Requirements

  • Experience with sample management & showroom displays (fashion retail experience also applicable).

  • Experience in PR or general events, including RSVPs, press clippings and wrap reports.

  • Knowledge of social media outlets, including Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest & Instagram.'

  • Skillful with Power Point, Excel, Google Docs and Adobe Creative Suite

  • Looking for someone who has a strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Must be extremely organized.

  • Must be dedicated to working in fashion PR and have industry knowledge, as well as knowledge of pop culture & celebrities.

Marketing - Req. 2361322 Job Title: Associate Director, Media and Public Relations Roles & Responsibilities: Reporting to the Senior Director of Media and Public Relations, the Associate Director of Media and Public Relations will assist in the formulation, implementation and administration of all press strategy for The Mount Sinai Medical Center, which includes the Mount Sinai Hospital and the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. In particular, she or he will effectively lead efforts to translate and communicate institutional and leadership news surrounding the institution including new departments, programs, initiatives, recruits, as well as business relationships and affiliations and new models of care. The Associate Director will take the lead in crisis communications in order to protect and enhance the reputation of MSSM. In addition, they will assist the Director in coordinating coverage of the basic science, clinical and education news, along with news surrounding Mount Sinai's physicians, programs, services and affiliations, and proactively place stories with print, online and media outlets. * Build and maintain relationships with key press and internal constituents, and help manage press relations during major events and crises; * Translate and communicate leadership and institutional news through the writing and production of communications materials such as press releases and media advisories; * Address press inquiries and proactively pitch leadership and institutional stories that differentiate Mount Sinai from its competitors as a world-class medical center, pioneering research institute and innovator in medical education and patient-centered care. * Create media plan and proactively pitch leadership throughout the year based on key institutional or news event * Proactively pitch Mount Sinai as an institution committed to genetics, genomics, personalized medicine and precision medicine in order to position as a pioneer in more precise patient-centered care * Create and execute media plans for important institutional initiatives such as the * Proactively meet and develop relationships with journalists at key healthcare and philanthropic publications including "Modern Healthcare" and "Chronicle of Philanthropy" * Track Mount Sinai leadership and institutional hits, as well as media coverage of competition * Create and carry out production of yearly media clip book which highlights media stories on leadership at The Medical Center, School and Hospital * Update and maintain thorough list of journalists that cover institutional and leadership affairs * Perform effective crisis communications in order to protect and enhance the role of MSSM * Act as Primary Media Office contact for MSSM "Thought Leadership Campaign" aimed at increasing leadership visibility around the nation and throughout the world * Collaborate with "Thought Leadership" team at MSSM on the phone, in person and throughout length of project scope * Write talking points and background notes for leadership * Perform and transcribe interviews with leadership to be used in Op Ed and other news publications * Handle special projects with strategic media partners and create new partnerships with external associations and trade groups * Work with Media Director to differentiate and position individual departments, physicians, programs and services to elevate their reputation among key constituencies and consumer markets, locally, nationally and globally * Act as Media Director when appropriate * Manage the coordination of press conferences and major institutional media events; * Attend departmental meetings within the institution and offer creative ideas for enhancing coverage via print publications, web, television and radio: * Work with the Web Managing Editor to produce and update content for the digital Newsroom * Edit and prepare daily and weekly media reports and prepare metrics to highlight the results of the Office's media outreach. * Triage and handle media calls after normal business hours (on call duties) as necessary. * Other relevant duties as assigned by the Director and other leadership. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree required; Masters preferred * Seven or more years of academic medical center, hospital, corporate public relations, or agency experience. * Superior writing skills; the ability to effectively translate complex healthcare information for the general public. * Excellent computer skills, including ability to navigate the internet * Well versed in social media, including Twitter and other digital platforms * Ability to supervise staff * Understanding of medical terminology and demonstrates competency in communicating effectively with clinical staff and hospital personnel is required.
