Bachelor's Degree in Communications, English, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related field from an accredited university and three years of professional experience. Experience in one or more of the following areas is essential:
Marketing, Public Relations, Web, and/or Print Media. Experience in Event Production is a secondary requirement.
Personal presentation as a business professional is essential, as is knowledge of file hosting services as large amounts of data are transferred frequently.
Extremely strong writing skills to include experience with AP style, social media management experience, desktop publishing experience, experience using Adobe InDesign, excellent interpersonal skills and experience working in a demanding and time critical environment.
The Public Relations Coordinator supports the Executive Director of Communication and Public Affairs and the organization's mission, vision, and values by exhibiting commitment to our institution and community. This is a highly responsible position working with only general oversight and with primary functions in media and communications.
The incumbent will have initiative and proven abilities in reporting, writing, editing and implementation of projects to include events from inception to completion. The incumbent must maintain strict confidence related to sensitive issues, including patient information.
