Reporting to the Senior Coordinator of Issues Management & Store Support, the Public Relations Associate (Rapid Response Analyst)
serves as the key PR contact for regional and store level issues at Whole Foods Market. The Rapid Response Analyst will work as part of a larger Rapid Response Team to provide 24/7 PR support to WFM stores, dealing with a variety of customer and media issues. The Rapid Response Analyst will work quickly to identify and respond to emerging issues and media inquiries
Alongside Rapid Response team members, serves as the key contact for all regional and store level issues at Whole Foods Market.
Provides guidance to regional and store leadership on handling a range of issues, including customer experience.
Works collaboratively with customer care and social media teams to manage customer or store issues.
Identifies and monitors emerging issues or trends. Helps to guide public response, including development of messaging, ensuring consistent response across all regions.
Creates messaging and responds to local media inquiries on various store and customer issues.
Shares on-call responsibilities with Rapid Response Team in order to provide 24/7 support to WFM stores.
Bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing, public relations, communications, or a related field preferred.
3-5 years' relevant experience in-house or at agency; newsroom experience is a plus.
Ability to react quickly and work against tight deadlines.
Knowledge of operations and communication procedures at store level in order to execute realistic SOPs.
Collaborative and highly motivated with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-moving environment; high ethical standards and integrity; ability to stay calm in high-pressure situations.
Outstanding communication and writing skills, presents clear and compelling arguments, demonstrates sound judgment, impeccable follow through, able to see big picture and immediate business needs simultaneously.
Sound project management skills with the ability to manage multiple missions in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing effectiveness with efficiency.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, to interact with a range of people at various levels.

Ability to be available and on-call 24/7 to respond to issues and crises as they arise.
