Coordinates Financial Services outreach activities and develops relationships with key stakeholders on campus and along the Wasatch Front to communicate key Financial Services messaging to internal and external audiences, widely disseminate the Financial Services brand, encourage participation in Financial Services initiatives, and cultivate relationships leading to excellent job candidate pools.

Responsibilities

• Works as part of the Financial Services' Communication & Outreach team to craft and articulate strategic messaging that clearly and accurately communicates the FS brand.

• Assists in planning, organizing, and publicizing Financial Services' participation in campus and community job fairs.

• Acts as Financial Services liaison to community representatives .

• Meets publication and other deadlines for digital content.

• Develops and nurtures relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Helps design and execute meetings that serve as forums for interaction and relationship building with Financial Services partners and end-users.

• Promotes Financial Services as first-choice employer for students, interns, accounting, procurement, and post-award professionals.

• Coordinates listening sessions and analyzes content to guide implementation of new systems and processes.

• Creates and maintains Financial Services' social media accounts as part of Communication and Outreach editorial strategy.

Problem Solving:

Key problems facing the incumbent include incorporating the Financial Services mission into communications with campus and community representatives; developing and implementing effective community outreach projects and special events; and disseminating information that will ignite interest in Financial Services as an employer or encourage participation in campus Financial Services initiatives

This position does not have any budget responsibility and supervises staff only indirectly by giving work direction.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Mass Communications, English, Liberal Arts, or a related area, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required. Experience in desktop publishing, word processing, computer networks and web page design preferred. Experience in public relations work or the print news media also preferred.

Preferences

Experience in developing and executing communications/public relations campaigns strongly preferred. Experience in public speaking and/or meeting facilitation preferred.
