We are seeking a skilled copy editor, proofreader, and writer with some graphic design and web experience who sweats the details. Are you a personable, organized individual who has a way with words, some design skills, and knows your way around the Internet? Our organization is looking for an enthusiastic and flexible team member to help implement public relations and marketing and positioning activities and campaigns as well as aid in internal communications. This includes assisting in the writing and production of print and digital materials.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in the research, written preparation and dissemination of information for internal communications and to the public through such media as publications, broadcasting, Internet web pages or websites, and/or social media channels

  • Skilled copy editor, proofreader, and writer with some graphic design and web experience

  • Keen attention to detail

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills

  • Ability to communicate with tact and warmth to colleagues and outside vendors to ensure edits are completed correctly

  • Great prioritization skills

  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively at different levels with different audiences

  • Curiosity and an interest in public health

  • Basic science and health knowledge and a willingness and capacity to absorb and utilize new information

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including outstanding PowerPoint skills

  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Acrobat Pro

  • Experience with WordPress or similar CMS

  • Basic digital photography skills

As part of a Career Progression Group, this vacancy may be filled from this recruitment as a Public Information Officer 1 or 2 depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant(s). The maximum salary for the Public Information Officer 2 is $68,099.
