Job Description
Independent Grant Work
Independently prepares grant reports.
Attends monthly meetings with State employees.
Assists Program/Grant Administrator with yearly budgets, reports, and meetings.
Enters grant required data into State database to receive grant funds.
Outreach
Electronic Health System User
Enters patient information into specialized system.
Scheduled patients/clients or grant covered services.
Office Tasks
Performs complex duties; types documents, correspondence, and reports utilizing technical terminology and composition skills requiring accuracy and completeness; coordinates and plans project activities.
Transcribes and composes a variety of confidential documents and correspondence.
Schedules appointments, meetings, and conferences; gathers related documentation for distribution at meetings; takes and transcribes minutes and notes at hearings, meetings, and conferences as required, at times requiring use of technical terminology.
May act as liaison for department with other County offices, agencies, and the public. Establishes and maintains filing systems, pulling files, updating, and replacing them as needed.
Keeps informed of new laws and ordinances; answers inquiries from departments and the public regarding resolutions, community projects, special projects, and special programs requiring considerable exercise of independent judgement.
Assists lower-level personnel in performing and coordinating their work as required; trains new staff members; and reviews completed work and recommends changes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Operates a variety of office equipment including computer terminal and/or personal computer; able to operate variety of software programs such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other process-specific programs. Types and transcribes dictation using transcribing equipment; transcribes medical reports, legal orders, opinions, and letters; attends meetings and records minutes or notes.
Performs moderately complex accounting work; receives and verifies information from various sources and enters data into ledgers and other records. Prepares statistical reports and produces financial information as directed.
Professionally interacts with peers and the public in person-to-person setting, via telephone, and all electronic methods.
Communicates current and anticipated problems to supervisor.
Required Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent with coursework in general office and accounting procedures, business practices, and technical terminology as it relates to the position.
3 years' experience in an increasingly responsible position in an office setting.
Have and maintain a valid Colorado driver's license and use of personal, insured vehicle is required to perform job duties. Dependable transportation and auto insurance, always maintained, as required by State law, is required.
Must pass a criminal background check.
