Public Health Nutritionist III

MINIMUM QUALFICATIONS

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in Dietetics, Foods and Nutrition, or a directly related field, PLUS three (3) years of work experience in public health nutrition or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience provided that the minimum education requirement is met.

Licensure, Certification, or Other Qualifications:

• Registered Dietitian (RD) credential awarded by the Commission on Dietetic Registration

• Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN). At the time of employment, positions must be a Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) in the state of Illinois.

Preference will be given to candidates possessing the following:

• Previous experience working as a Registered Dietitian in a health care setting

• Previous experience in maternal child health and lactation consultation

• Previous experience supervising, managing teams including executing performance evaluations, staff development and discipline.

• Previous operational experience working in a health care clinic or managing a direct service program.

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS

The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position, based on the written exercise/skills assessment and the interview will be selected.
