PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE - Maternal Child Health, Public Health
The Public Health division is seeking a dedicated, professional Registered Nurses to join our dynamic Maternal Child Health team. These positions are full-time, project positions, housed within the Public Health Division.
Job duties include:
Working with a team of nurses to provide new and expecting mothers in the greater Portland community access to appropriate health care and support through home visits. These home visits ensure that mothers and fathers have all the information, education and support needed including new Mainers and people from other vulnerable and disadvantaged communities. During hours when patients are not being seen, nurses will coordinate referrals, provide case management, perform telephone intakes and triage, and access community healthcare resources. May also be engaged in education for staff and community partners on best public health practice, data collection and reporting, and outreach.
Requirements:
Flexibility, creativity, and decision making skills.
Ability to prioritize and work independently.
Ability to work a full time position (37.5 hours per week, varied schedule- primarily office hours), Monday - Friday.
BSN required
At least one year experience as a Registered Nurse required
Experience in maternal health preferred.
Successful candidates will exhibit excellent organizational, clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Salary & Benefits:
This is a union position, CEBA - Grade 16M, $29.88-$32.32
