Public Health Nurse Clinic Manager #1666 - Covid-19 - Vaccine Strike Team: Grant-Funded - HSD

THIS POSITION IS TO FILL (2) TWO VACANCIES.

The Hamilton County Health Department has a responsibility to respond quickly and efficiently when public health emergencies occur.  All Hamilton County Health Department employees are responsible for ensuring their contact information is current and they are accessible should a public health emergency arise.

 The Hamilton County Health Department maintains a call down system to store contact information and mobilize staff in the event of an emergency.  During a public health emergency, all staff are required to respond should a call to mobilize be made.  During a public health emergency, work hours for any and all Hamilton County Health Department employees are subject to modification to meet the needs of the community.

Under general supervision of the Communicable Disease Program Manager and Strike Team Outreach Manager to develop, implement, monitor and plan preventative health vaccinations along with outreach and education to residents, indigent and underserved and/or high-risk populations of Hamilton County.

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing plus five (5) years of direct work experience; prior experience should include progressively responsible public health, supervisory, or related work.  Must have a Registered Nurse License, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license.

OR

An Associate's Degree/Diploma in Nursing or Licensed Registered Nurse plus seven (7) years of direct work experience may be considered; prior experience should include progressively responsible public health, supervisory, or related work.  Must have a Registered Nurse License, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Work schedule may be flexible in nature, working some week-ends and evening for vaccine events.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Will work with mobile vaccine unit out in community;  venues may include outside locations; will be required to set up and take down vaccine site equipment which may include vaccine cooling containers, awning or tent and signage.
