The purpose of this job is to provide public health nursing services to individuals, families, and communities. Delivers services directed toward prevention, assessment, risk reduction, and health status improvement for individuals, families, and communities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description
- Provides direct clinical services, including case management, care coordination, and medication management. Administers immunizations and health screenings; educates patients regarding required/recommended vaccinations, injuries, and diseases.
- Conducts communicable disease surveillance and case investigations, communicates with clients and providers, and performs contact tracing.
- Delivers communicable disease prevention services and resources via community clinics and home visits.
- Manages vaccine inventory.
- Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
No supervisory authority. Work may require providing guidance and training to others.

Education and Experience- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or associate degree in Nursing with additional experience.
- 1 to 3 years' experience in nursing
Licenses or Certifications
- Valid Missouri Nursing License for a registered professional nurse required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Valid driver's license.

- Nursing education, including vaccinations, birth control methods, lab values, communicable diseases and conditions, and treatment options.

- Federal and State guidelines for vaccinations and communicable diseases.

Hours/Days
Primarily 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday- Friday, with some early morning, evening and weekend hours.
