Minimum Qualifications:

Required:

• H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.

• 1 year of experience in a medical or laboratory program.

• Must possess a valid Texas Driver's license.

Position Overview:

Under basic supervision, draws blood from patients for the Public Health District (PHD) and administers CLIA approved lab test under supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Essential Functions:

• Draws blood from patients, prepares quality control supplies and performs lab and control tests according to specific program and physician guidelines; maintains records and orders clinic and laboratory supplies.

• Supports the relationship between the City of Waco and the general public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with residents, visitors and City staff; maintains confidentiality of work-related issues and City information.
