    What You Will Be Doing

  • Work with clients, teammates and use your judgement to decide on implementation-level details.

  • Work within your team to do improve and test our existing products

  • Select your sprint payload, balancing both strategic and tactical requirements.

  • You will be client facing on some issues and work with our customer support team on others

  • There will be the opportunity for work outside of product development.(i.e. visiting customers and prospects to demo the product or help them during setup, product management, writing blog posts about our technology, product, or team etc.)
    What You Need for this Position

  • History of of working on public clouds like Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and Amazon Web Services

Any experience with the skills listed below is a PLUS:

  • Track record with MVC(Django or ROR)

  • Back-end experience(Python, Go, etc)

  • Some combination of CentOS, Apache & MySQL

Job Overview Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA), a division of Daimler Corporation, is seeking innovative personnel to join their Telematics Platform Connectivity team in support of Daimler's CASE (Connected, Autonomous, Shared & Services, and Electric) strategy; the future of intuitive mobility and Telematics is one of its key drivers. The Telematics Platform Connectivity team is part of the Digital Vehicle Services (DVS) group and is responsible for connectivity and operations of DTNA's hybrid cloud (Azure / On Prem) Telematics infrastructure. Our cloud platform team is looking for a person with relevant knowledge or experience in automation of infrastructure and systems administration in a cloud environment. Responsibilities Lead developing infrastructure as code. Monitor and troubleshoot platform and OS issues. Work with external partners such as colleagues in Germany. Facilitate meetings and document outcomes. Work with DTNA SAFe teams to analyze business needs, and document business and systems requirements. Debugging technical issues Maintaining a scalable cloud environment Maintain platform and systems uptime – Incident and Problem resolution. Meet SLAs and defined targets. Work with immediate team and within cross functional groups in identifying and solving root cause of complex problems. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives through optimization of processes and best practices. Assist scrum teams and follow Agile processes. Assist sprint planning using tools such as Jira. * Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited school with 2 years of related experience OR an associate's degree with 4 years of related experience OR 8 years of related experience and high school diploma (or equivalent) required * At least 1 year of group leader, project lead, or mentoring experience required * An attached resume is required * 10 or more years of progressively responsible IT experience preferred. * Experience with cloud solutions like AWS, Azure, Google, IBM or similar required. * Experience with UNIX/LINUX OS (RH, IBM AIX, Ubuntu, SUSE) Windows OS experience is a plus. * Experience with the software development process required. * Experience with scripting language like Python, Ruby, Bash, Powershell, or similar required. * Experience with Networking and protocols required. * Experience with Kubernetes, clusters, and containers (Docker) required. * Experience with cloud computing services/platforms; IaaS, PaaS, and/or SaaS required. * Experience with monitoring tools like ELK, Nagios, Splunk, or similar required. * Experience with automation and CI/CD systems required. * Experience with automation tools such as Terraform, Puppet, Embotics, or similar required. * Experience with virtualization tools like VMware, Xen, or similar required. * Experience with development tools like Jenkins, Git, or similar required. * Experience with OpenStack, Cloud Foundry, or similar required. * Working knowledge of Dev/Ops and Agile Methodologies required. * Customer Service and Teamwork required * Ability to work in cross-functional team without supervision required. * Effective communication (Oral and Written) required. * Ability in analyzing customer requirements required. * Ability to analyze data in present in small and large groups required. * Ability to travel (NAFTA) required.
