ICF currently seeks a Public Building Sector Lead to support a large disaster recovery program recently awarded to ICF in Puerto Rico. This is an opportunity to use your technical expertise in the Public Buildings sector and be part of a strong team implementing important projects across Puerto Rico. This will be an extremely fast-paced project and while the work will be hard, the rewards will be great as we do our part to help rebuild Puerto Rico. As the Public Buildings Sector Lead you will Interface with FEMA, CORRR and the ICF Regional Liaison Team to ensure the efficient and timely coordination and facilitation of multiple simultaneous Public Works related projects impacting Puerto Rico.
Use your knowledge and experience in the field of Public Works to support a variety of projects. You will work with colleagues in the Puerto Rico municipalities, FEMA and other to determine and prioritize damaged structures, and communicate with Task Force Leads to coordinate field inspection and resolution. The position will also communicate any changes to the scheduling made by FEMA in the JRO. This role is not designing nor constructing the solution. Relevant experience would include working on projects involving public buildings such as clinics, hospitals, judicial centers, police and fire facilities, public centers, government centers and city halls. You may go out onsite to assess damage with the Field Inspector.
Collaborate with Public Building professionals who may be performing complex studies and models. You do not need to be an Engineer but the ability to work in collaboration with experts is important to ensure the best solution is implemented.
Partner with our FEMA, Client and other stakeholders in the delivery of effective and timely solutions for project issues
Monitor status projects through obligation and completion.
Optimize procedures and maintain communication and focus
Maintain and track each case as required in project report management information system.
Collect and analyze key metrics and provide daily reports to management
Keep management team informed on issues, problems and resolutions
Superior customer service skill set, ability to listen, facilitate and negotiate problems
Bachelor of Science Degree is preferred however experience in lieu of a degree may be considered
Minimum of 3 years' experience in Public Buildings projects
Strong analytical, time management and communications skills
Familiarity supporting projects related to Public Buildings.
Able to work up to 12 hours a day, 7 days a week and deploy to remote locations experiencing disaster impacts for 3+ months
Previous experience with FEMA Public Assistance Program is preferred
Familiarity with smartphone MS Office, and project management applications
Prior FEMA experience
Bi-lingual in English and Spanish
