What you'll be doing in this role:
The Public Areas Attendant works in conjunction with the Housekeeping team to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the hotels with a focus on the public spaces and designated Housekeeping areas.
Key Responsibilities
Provide warm, humble and knowledgeable service throughout the property
Receive daily assignment, working primarily off the daily checklists
Receive mobile Zello device
Clean and restock the public areas restrooms and common areas for guest and staff
Follow hotel Style guide
Clean and restock designated Housekeeping areas
Complete daily checklists in its entirety
Assist in guestrooms when needed (cleaning rooms, providing service)
Complete guest requests in a timely manner (under 15 minutes)
Take on any regularly scheduled projects, or as assigned by Supervisor/Manager
Monitor and maintain Guest hallways and elevators always clean and presentable
Be responsive on the radio (Zello application) when Office coordinator/Supervisors/Manager reach out
Employee Relations
Assist in creating a culture that encourages our staff to grow
Support service teams
Prepare all required paperwork including forms, reports, and schedules in an organized and timely manner
General/Miscellaneous
Ensure in quality of guest experience, service, operational effectiveness, employee retention, and satisfaction
Ensure consistent, thorough, and timely communication to peers, managers, guests, and vendors
Continually strive to provide opportunities to advance the education and development of staff as it relates to food, wine, and service
Understand and comply with all federal, state, county, and municipal regulations/ordinances that pertain to health, safety, and labor requirements of the farm/restaurant/inn, its employees, and its guests
All other duties as assigned by manager
In an ideal world, you have:
1 years of experience in a luxury hotel within the Housekeeping department
Commitment to quality, excellence, and genuine hospitality
Highly organized, self-motivated, and flexible, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to listen, communicate, and make connections
Relevant experience in high-end hospitality/restaurant operations
Excellent Mobile Device competency (HotSOS, Zello, Apple & Android UI)
A person of integrity; fair and consistent
Creative problem-solving and critical decision-making skills
Ability to work collaboratively across the organization
Must have availability for PM shifts and weekends.
Availability as needed to accommodate hotel occupancy (Summer, Spring, weekends, holidays)
ENVIRONMENTAL AND/OR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely and successfully with federal, state, and local standards
Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, and be able to push up to 60 pounds
Ability to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time
Ability to physically maneuver through work areas; bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, climb stairs and steps, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment
