Job Title: Public Area Attendant

Department: Housekeeping

Reports to: Director of Housekeeping

Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Hourly Rate: $17.00

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

As a Public Area Attendant, you will set the stage for our patron experience with your welcoming smile and service. It is the primary responsibility of the Public Area Attendant to maintain the quality and cleanliness in our venues, public areas, offices, and other required areas to the highest standards of excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cleaning of restrooms, lobbies, elevators, and the interior of the property, and maintaining adequate stock of supplies.

  • Cleaning of all levels of the public areas and all equipment.

  • Maintain the cleanliness of back-of-house areas.

  • Complete special projects /cleaning details

  • Follow procedures for picking up trash, and emptying ash urns in the interior and exterior of the property.

  • Keep buildings in clean and orderly condition, cleaning restrooms, performer's rooms, windows, floors, elevators, interior and exterior, maintaining adequate stock of supplies.

  • Clean and polish furniture and fixtures, checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.

  • Keep all locker room areas neat and clean, supply the restrooms (BOH) AND (FOH)

cleaning all levels of the public areas.

  • Dust furniture, walls, machines, or equipment, Notifying management for equipment repairs.

  • Perform rotation cleaning duties (e.g. steam clean carpets) as required.

  • Handles cleaning solutions and properly operates cleaning equipment, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.

  • Spot safety hazards and items that need to be cleaned.

  • Ensures proper storage of chemical agents.

  • Provides outstanding services to our patrons.

  • Assist the Housekeeping Management as needed.

  • Performs any other duties as assigned within the scope of the position

Required Education, and Experience

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.

  • 1 or more years of Housekeeping-related work experience or customer service equivalent experience.

  • Previous experience with Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems.

Physical Job Requirements

  • Able to push, pull, carry, or lift up to 50 lbs repetitively throughout the workday.

  • The physical ability to stand and/or walk continuously for the duration of the shift.

  • The physical ability to climb stairs, balance, bend/stoop, and kneel continuously.

  • The physical ability to frequently crouch, push/pull, squat, and work above the shoulders with both arms.

  • The physical ability to use both hands for continuous grasping.

  • The physical ability to push, pull, and lift various furniture items such as mattresses, end tables, chairs, ottomans, lamps, and tables.

  • The physical ability to tolerate any required personal protective equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, safety goggles, and other protective equipment deemed appropriate on a continuous basis.

  • Ability to safely operate motorized equipment

  • This position could be exposed to loud noises, and frequent phone conversations, and requires average to above average visual acuity and hearing.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits if required by federal, state, and local regulations during the course of employment.

The hourly rate for this full-time and non-exempt position is $17.00 plus benefits, including insurance plans as applicable.
