Classification Title Temporary Service/Maintenance (NE) FLSA UGA Job Code FTE 1.0 Minimum Qualifications Position Summary
This position is responsible for ensuring that all public areas of the Georgia Center remain clean and presentable at all times. A public area attendant is responsible for providing outstanding customer service and contributing to the success of the housekeeping team.
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position
Customer service/guest interaction experience preferred. Cleaning experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
Dependable, responsible, honest, strong work ethic, positive attitude, work independently and as part of a team. Work under time constraints and in a fast-paced environment. Understand and speak English.
Physical Demands
This is a physically demanding position. Employees stand/walk for long periods of time; climb stairs; reach, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, and work with hands; see dust, hair, lint, and dirt; smell odors to identify the source to clean; work in small/tight spaces (between beds and walls in hotel rooms, storage closets, etc.); lift or move at least 30 pounds; and push/pull wheeled carts weighing up to 75 pounds.
