Job Summary / Purpose

Golden Pass LNG is an ExxonMobil (30%) and QatarEnergy (70%) joint venture formed in the early 2000s to import liquefied natural gas. In 2019, the shareholders made a $10B final investment decision for "The Golden Pass LNG Export Project" (GPX) to construct a world-class LNG export facility.

From inception to date, substantially all technology systems and services have been provided by ExxonMobil IT (EMIT). As part of the GPX project, the company launched an IT Enablement initiative to carve out systems from EMIT and establish standalone systems and processes designed specifically for LNG export operations in a green field environment. The IT Enablement initiatives will utilize current cloud technology and Software-as-a-Service to the extent possible. Golden Pass IT professionals will focus on strategic initiatives and business differentiators, manage service providers to maintain systems and perform recurring, tactical tasks.

Golden Pass LNG is in search of an enthusiastic PTP Business Analyst with a strong focus on SAP S/4 Materials Management (MM) and Quality Management (QM), covering functional areas such as Procurement, Warehouse/Inventory, and Quality Management processes. The chosen candidate will be instrumental in refining and advancing our Supply Chain, Quality Management, and Procurement procedures. This role involves active collaboration with cross-functional teams to collect requirements and deploy SAP solutions that support our strategic business objectives.

The Business Analyst will report to the IT SAP Delivery Manager and be the primary liaison between Business stakeholders, End users, the SAP managed service provider, and other technology vendors.

Essential Duties/Key Responsibilities / Functions

• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders and end users to gather and document SAP Supply Chain Management functional modules such as Materials Management (MM), Purchasing (Contracting, Purchase Requisition (PR), Purchase Order (PO)), Workflows, Logistics Invoice Verification (LIV), Inventory Management/ Warehouse Management, Contract Management (CM), Lean Services, Business Partner (BP), Vendor Master, Material Master, Service Master, Integration with, Open Text, SAP Plant Maintenance, SAP Finance and Controlling and Fiori Apps related requirements for SAP S/4 implementations, enhancements and Continuous improvements.

• Process Analysis: Analyze new business processes and changes to existing functionalities, translating user requirements into functional and technical design specifications for processes related to SAP Supply Chain Management functional modules such as Materials Management (MM), Purchasing (Contracting, Purchase Requisition (PR), Purchase Order (PO)), Workflows, Logistics Invoice Verification (LIV), Inventory Management/ Warehouse Management, Contract Management (CM), Lean Services, Business Partner (BP), Vendor Master, Material Master, Service Master, Integration with, Open Text, SAP Plant Maintenance, SAP Finance and Controlling and Fiori Apps related requirements for SAP S/4 implementations, enhancements and Continuous improvements. Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend SAP-based solutions.

• Solution Design: SAP S/4 Configuration expertise to design SAP Supply Chain Management functional modules such as Materials Management (MM), Quality Management (QM), Purchase Requisition (PR), Purchase Order (PO), Workflows, Contract Management (CM), Lean Services, Invoice Processing (IV), Business Partner (BP), Vendor Master, Material Master, Service Master and Fiori Apps, End-user security roles related solutions that meet business needs, ensuring compliance with best practices. Integration with cross-functional modules such as Finance, OpenText, and Maintenance. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of SAP configurations, business processes, and training materials.

• Functional Testing: Work closely with business stakeholders to create and implement comprehensive test plans and scripts. This collaboration aims to ensure the practical validation of SAP Supply Chain Management functional modules, including Materials Management (MM), Quality Management (QM), Purchase Requisition (PR), Purchase Order (PO), Workflows, Contract Management (CM), Lean Services, Logistics Invoice Processing (IV), Business Partner (BP), Vendor Master, Material Master, Service Master, and Fiori Apps. The goal is to verify that these solutions align with business requirements and do not adversely affect the existing production processes while securing end-user roles.

• User Training: Collaborate with the Change Management team to facilitate smooth transitions and promote user adoption of new processes and technologies. Deliver training and support to end-users for SAP S/4 functionalities related to SAP Supply Chain Management functional modules, including Materials Management (MM), Quality Management (QM), Purchase Requisition (PR), Purchase Order (PO),Workflows, Contract Management (CM), Lean Services, Logistics Invoice Processing (IV), Business Partner (BP), Vendor Master, Material Master, Service Master, Fiori Apps and end-user security roles. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of SAP configurations, business processes, and training materials.

• Manage reporting and resolution of issues, risks, and dependencies, proactively identifying potential planning gaps, implementing mitigations to risks, and driving actions to close issues.

• Work closely with the AMS team to provide timely resolutions for system issues, ensuring the stability and performance of the SAP system.

• Analyze new business processes and changes to existing functionalities, translating user requirements into functional and technical design specifications. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of SAP configurations, business processes, and training materials.

• Review all development efforts that affect existing functionality to understand their integration and process impact. Include other modules or systems necessary to fulfill SCM organization reporting responsibilities.

• Effectively work with business and IT teams to prioritize and plan the implementation of changes.

• Interface with client and vendor IT personnel to accomplish assigned deliverables

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education is required for the position.

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, or equivalent field experience.

Minimum experience required for the position.

• At least 7 years of 2 end-to-end SAP IT Implementation Lifecycle experience

• At least 3 years of SAP S/4 HANA Project Management experience

• Experience managing onsite and offshore vendor teams.

• Functional expertise SAP S/4 Configuration expertise to design SAP Supply Chain Management functional modules such as Materials Management (MM), Quality Management (QM), Purchase Requisition (PR), Purchase Order (PO), Workflows, Contract Management (CM), Lean Services, Invoice Processing (IV), Business Partner (BP), Vendor Master, Material Master, Service Master and Fiori Apps, End-user security roles related solutions that meet business needs, ensuring compliance with best practices. Integration with cross-functional modules such as Finance (FICO), OpenText, and Plant Maintenance (PM).

• Overall understanding of Warehouse Inventory Management and Plant Maintenance (Maintain to Settle (MTS)) work streams.

• Strong understanding of integration points between SAP MM and other SAP modules, such as SAP SD, SAP PM, and SAP FI/CO.

• Experience with SAP MM functionalities, including batch management, serial number management, vendor consignment, and third-party subcontract processing.

• Overall understanding of the SAP Technical Landscape

• Basis, Infrastructure, Development, Change Control, GRC.

• Work closely with the AMS team to provide timely resolutions for system issues, ensuring the stability and performance of the SAP system.

• Conduct workshops, training sessions, and knowledge transfer activities to educate end users and project team members on SAP MM functionalities.

• Detail-oriented, self-directed, and have strong independent problem-solving skills.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• SAP certification in Materials Management (MM) is preferred but not required.
