The Therapist is responsible for assessing client's mental health status, developing a client specific treatment plan, providing individual, group and family therapy and completing all required clinical documentation that is in compliance with KidsPeace and regulatory requirements.

Job Duties / Essential Functions

• Complete client assessments and develop a client centered, individualized treatment plan with each client.

• Designate client problem areas, assist client in formulating related goals and tasks and support client in achieving these goals via the completion of specific tasks.

• Provide individual, group and family therapy which directly address client treatment plan goals.

• Develop a discharge plan that meets the ongoing needs of each client.

• Complete all required documentation in a timely manner on KidsPeace approved forms and according to KidsPeace and regulatory standards.

• All other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications (Education, Training and Experiences)

• Masters Degree in Human Services related field. Applicable state licensure or licensend eligible preferred.

• Minimum of two years experience in Human Services required.

• Experience with acute emotionally challenged children or adolescents preferred

• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

• Must possess basic personal computer knowledge and skills.

• Must be 21 years of age.
