The REACH Equity Team in the School of Nursing and Health Studies at the University of Miami has an opportunity for a part-time temporary data analyst to support ongoing clinical research focused on HIV-prevention and mental health. The data analyst will support the research team by cleaning, summarizing/reporting, and analyzing research data for presentations and publications. The data analyst will work closely with the PI, biostatistician, and collaborators on the clinical trial.

• Clean data using syntax

• Score measures in the dataset (e.g., creating syntax for scoring)

• Prepare tables and figures to clean and analyze data and for publication

• Perform statistical analyses defined in the statistical analysis plans

• Perform other related duties and responsibilities related to data analysis, as assigned

• Pull data from REDCap for analysis

Minimum qualifications

• Master's or doctoral level training with a background in statistics (e.g., psychology, public health with graduate training / coursework in statistics)

• Experience with SAS, R, or SPSS

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to prioritize as necessary to meet deadlines

• Ability to work with a team and as an individual contributor

• Strong organizational and follow up skills

• Attention to detail
