POSITION SUMMARY The staff physical therapist is responsible for the evaluation of a patient#s physical condition and needs, and the design and implementation of a corrective treatment plan according to the principles and practice of physical therapy. This includes continuous assessment of the patient#s progress and modification of the plan and goals as necessary, collaborative consultation with other health care professionals and maintenance of accurate and timely medical and business records. The physical therapist has supervisory responsibility over the clinical activities of P.T. Assistant and at least one affiliated student per year. Participation in departmental quality improvement activities, community outreach and program development is also required. QUALIFICATION EDUCATION: Graduate of an#accredited P.T. program preferred. EXPERIENCE/SKILL SETS: Previous experience in acute care is preferred, but entry level is acceptable. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION(S): A State of Vermont license is#required, temporary license acceptable on entry.
