This is a Part Time position working Monday through Friday from 9:30am to 3:00pm.

Summary:

Ensures online accounts are funded and approved, sorts department mail, responds to calls received from members and branch/other department staff, establishes accounts as required. Prepares periodic reports, ensures that all work is reviewed and approved prior to processing, and keeps Department management informed of all activities, problems and issues.

Education and/or Experience:

• A high school education or GED required

• Oral/written communication, mathematical, problem-solving, multitasking, organizational, computer and internet skills, and telephone etiquette required

• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word required

• Knowledge of credit union systems preferred

Job Responsibilities:

• Review applications for new accounts opened online, ensure they are funded and approved, and signature cards are on file. Send welcome letters to new members.

• Review mail received from branches and sort by transaction type (debit card applications, changes to existing accounts, power of attorney, etc.)

• Handle requests for verification of deposits, initiate payroll deductions, fund transfers and changes of address.

• Establish accounts by reviewing documentation for completeness and accuracy, enter required information into the system and send checks to the branch when necessary.

• Identify issues requiring follow up, contact members to obtain information, and mail out forms and other documentation as needed.

• Establish outgoing money wires, assign routing numbers and forward paperwork to the Accounting Department.

• Prepare periodic reports on new and closed accounts.

• Prepare official letters for manager review and approval.

• Retrieve account information and documents for Medicaid research requests

• Review, process and log returned deposited checks.

• Review mobile deposits to ensure they are accurate, complete and signed

• Cross sell to members by advising them of other products and services that they can take advantage of and completing applications for Retail products/services

• Perform other duties as needed upon request of immediate supervisor

The good faith range for this position is $18.25 - $21.00 an hour. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications and operational needs. The salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
