Position Summary

The Personal Training Lead Assistant Manager assumes responsibility for the overall direction, development, coordination, and supervision of the Personal Training Department and ensure continuous professional growth and development of all Personal Trainers. They assume responsibility for the Personal Training Team to provide various personal training services that offer members programs to maximize workout efficiency, improve fitness, increase stamina, enjoy their fitness experience and improve overall sense of well being. The PT Lead Assistant Managers schedule and complete record keeping according to standard operating procedures.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensures all clients' goals are being achieved and resolves any member concerns in a timely matter

  • Oversees that trainers are educated on all programs and services

  • Assumes responsibility for executing personal training business plan and exceeding monthly revenue/Contribution Margin budget

  • Completes payroll and ensures payroll expenses are within budgetary guidelines

  • Ensures the Assistant Department Head meets weekly with Trainers one-on-one to review business plans and business development

  • Conducts 1:1 meetings with sub team to review business plans and business development

  • Manages the 90-day on-boarding process for new Personal Trainers

  • Interviews and trains all new personal training staff

  • Schedules and complete record keeping according to standard operating procedures

Position Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 2 to 3 years of sales experience

  • 1 year of supervisory or management experience

  • 2 years of program design experience

  • 3 years of personal training experience and a Certified Personal Trainer

  • CPR and AED Certified

  • Ability to perform an aerobic activity for a duration of a class, bend, climb, balance and lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred Requirements

  • Degree in Kinesiology, Sports Medicine or other related field
