PT - Wrap-Around Support Specialist (Grant-Funded)
Salary:
$15.00 per hour.
Summary of Function:
The Wrap-Around Support Specialist predominately assists in the management of CRM - Engage wrap-around support alerts and requests. The Wrap-Around Support Specialist additionally provides support and management to the basic needs and clothing pantry. In addition, this position supports students by facilitating the selection of needed items, documents student interactions for data collection, organizes club volunteer assistance and donations, and assists with planning, purchases, and marketing of the basic needs program.
Typical Duties:
- Serves Students. Manages and provides administrative support for wrap-around services, pantry, and closet. Complete clerical duties for the wrap-around services, including the basic needs program, including but not limited to completing marketing requests, answering phones, responding to staff referrals, greeting visitors, scanning, photocopying, and providing student support/resolutions.
- Uses CRM Engage to identify and manage student records for data management and referrals. Responds to basic needs requests and referrals. Follows up with students in need of wrap-around services via telephone and e-mail. Meets with students for closet and pantry item selection. Maintains and records program data.
- Collaborates with district-wide campuses, community partners, donors, AWC Foundation, and appropriate committee groups. Working closely with supervisor and Student Health and Wellness Coordinator to organize educational events pertaining to wrap-around services through marketing and outside groups. Work with community stakeholders for sponsorship opportunities. Serves as the primary contact for basic needs access.
- Supervises student club volunteers. Schedules and assigns volunteer activities and programs.
- Assists in the planning, maintenance, and tracking of budgets. Facilitates the purchasing and inventory of program-related items.
- Support and participate in strategic planning initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Two years of professional experience in higher education or customer service
Preferred:
- Associate degree
- Three years of professional experience working in higher education or charity management

- Part-time up to 19.5 hours per week
- Monday through Friday
- 12 months per year
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of computers and proficiency utilizing computer databases and also Microsoft Office,
Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Outlook for email and calendar
- Excellent customer service skills and be able to work as a valued member of a team
- General knowledge of the community college and its philosophy
- Ability to multi-task in a high-traffic environment
Work Environment:
- Indoors, moderate noise, fluorescent lighting, some outdoor activity
Physical Demands:
- Bending, sitting, kneeling, lifting, pushing, & some driving
