Assist the Coordinator of Community Programs and other coworkers in the coordination of the Kids' College Program. Assist with supervision of Kids' College Camp Counselors.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must possess a valid Texas driver's license, good driving record, and be insurable on Midland College's insurance policy
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's Degree or higher
Experience working with K - 6th grade children, parents, and teachers in a school setting
Prior community college or volunteer experience
Demonstrated capacity for project or event coordination
Excellent customer service skills
Essential Functions
Assist in the day-to-day operation of Kid's College.
Assist in the supervision of Kids' College Camp Counselors and all associated activities
Provide the Coordinator of Community Programs updates of staff activities or concerns
Travel in town as required
Distribute supplies needed for Kids' College classes
Assist Coordinator in overall preparation, registration, coordination, and supervision of the Kids' College program
Communicate program participant disciplinary issues with parents
Substitute for instructors, if needed
Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands
Duties indoors and some outdoors; must be able to work in all types of weather conditions including extreme heat, rain or other types of inclement weather
Requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking
Ability to lift or move up to 35 pounds
Use of manual dexterity
Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation

Min Salary $20.00 per hour Max Salary $25.00 per hour Pay Statement Salary is commensurate with educational qualifications and experience.
