Under the direction of the Director of Auxiliary Enterprises, this position is responsible for all cash register activity including training and directing student aids and temporary cashiers. The position also oversees the overall merchandising presentation of all non-textbook areas including maintaining inventory levels, determining product location, and modifying space allocation as needed. The position also performs some clerical work, maintaining cash register paperwork, including rental records.

As the primary point of customer interaction, this position demands a congenial personality to facilitate dealings with students, employees and the public in general. Works evenings and occasional Saturdays on rotational basis as scheduled.

Two years of experience in retail with merchandising experience preferred. Basic computer skills required. Supervisory cashier experience a plus.

Strong interpersonal skills a must - cordial, outgoing, and works well with others in a team setting. Self-motivated, highly organized, strong creative skills, neat and orderly.

Work Hours

Monday

  • Friday; 18-24 hours per week, schedule may vary. Store hours are 8:30am-6:30pm Monday and Thursday, 8:30am to 4:30pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays.
