Job Description

This is a Part-Time position without benefits

Under minimal supervision, this position will be responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, appearance and safe use of the building during nights and weekends. Performs building custodial work and will use small hand tools to perform minor repairs and/or maintenance in the facility.

Essential job functions include but are not limited to: Must be able to perform physical labor inside or outside in various weather conditions.

Able to work independently with minimal instruction. Check daily log for upcoming programs, activities and rentals to make sure rooms are clean. Responsible for inventory of cleaning supplies needed and notifying Supervisor if supplies need to be ordered.

Cleaning and sanitizing of offices, restrooms, halls, gymnasium and equipment. Preventive maintenance on floors, ceilings, and restrooms in regard to maintaining appearance and public safety. Provide Supervisor with duties completed on a checklist and written notes on work not completed.

Set-up and break down of tables and chairs for rentals and community events. Keep outside grounds and parking lots free of litter. Must be able to read and understand chemical/cleaning applications.

Performs other duties as assigned. Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification preferred but not required.

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED; minimum age of 18 with valid driver's license.

Applicant must pass a background and driver's license check and a physical exam, including a drug test. Bartlett resident preferred, but not required. Will work in a non-smoking environment.
