Providence is calling a Psychology Intern (AK Family Medicine Residency, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. We are seeking a Psychology Intern to provide clinical services in the medical and inpatient settings under the supervision of a licensed psychologist. Based on their academic credentials and clinical experience, Psychology Interns provide consultation and supervision to other behavioral health clinicians and university students.

In this position you will:

  • Coordinate and facilitate psychological assessments.

  • Provide relevant recommendations to support identified goals for patients.

  • Provide feedback to guardians and when clinically indicated to patients regarding assessment and recommendations.

  • Provide accurate and timely documentation.

  • Participate and confer with treatment team weekly regarding patient's progress, plans, needs, goals and discharge disposition.

  • Implement care/services that recognize age/diversity specific needs/issues of customers served.

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Currently enrolled in a doctorate (Ph.D., Ed.D., or Psy.D.) in Clinical, Counseling, Organizational, or School Psychology
  • 2 years equivalent of clinical/counseling experience

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Master's Degree in in Clinical, Counseling, Organizational, or School Psychology
