The location for this position is Oklahoma Forensic Center in Vinita, OK.

Job Summary:

The Psychology Forensics Clinician position will be in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. The training prepares clinicians for a career as psychologists trained to deliver evidence-based mental health services. The clinician position is designed accordingly to the training goals set forth by the Oklahoma State Board of Examiners of Psychologists. The Psychology Forensics Clinician position will provide forensic psychological evaluations and psychological programming at the Oklahoma Forensic Center in Vinita, OK.

Environmental Hazards:

Possible exposure to hazardous material, hot and cold, blood borne pathogens.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, carry push, and pull 20 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a doctoral degree in forensic psychology which includes

  • Completion of a one-year internship experience that meet the Oklahoma Board of Examiners of Psychologists requirements for licensure.

  • Valid Oklahoma Driver's License

Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge:

  • Formal educational and clinical experience with psychological assessment and intervention.

  • Psychological evaluations

  • Psychological programming

  • Requires strong analytical skills, advanced multi-tasking skills, advanced problem solving skills, , and the ability to effectively plan

  • Computer skills are needed to operate electronic medical records.

  • Good communication and leadership skills are a positive.

  • Interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with faculty
