The Student Health and Wellness Center provides integrated, holistic care for students through our medical, counseling, and health promotion and wellness departments. We assist the UWM campus community through collaborative partnerships designed to enhance the university's academic and community service mission and focus on our student's wellbeing as an essential component to student success.
Job Summary
A psychologist in University Counseling Services at UWM directs clinical services to students and engages in the full range of psychological services including assessment (psycho-diagnostic and psychological assessment services), evaluation, consultation and/or psychotherapy to promote the mental health and well-being of students. This position provides professional mental health counseling and consultation services for the campus community, incorporates a brief therapeutic model to address the emotional and behavioral needs of students, creates developmental programming to increase healthy lifestyle and coping behaviors across campus, and provides strategic direction and advocacy for university mental health policy and initiatives.
This recruitment aims to fill two positions. One position is full-time, full-year; the second is 9-month fixed-term renewable position with a scheduled seasonal work break each summer (6/1-8/31). Both positions are assigned the same set of duties and responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications
PsyD or Ph.D. in Psychology
Current independent licensure as a psychologist in the State of Wisconsin OR license eligible in Wisconsin with current licensure as a psychologist in another state
Preferred Qualifications
Experience practicing as an independently licensed psychologist
Experience providing short-term brief treatment psychotherapy
Experience treating clients across various spectrums, including race, ethnicity, orientation, gender identity, ability and economic status through a social justice lens
Experience working with high risk and high acuity populations
Experience providing psychoeducation on mental health-related topics to various audiences, including students, faculty, staff and community members
Experience and working with eating disorders, trauma, military/veteran students,or student-athletes
Experience providing clinical supervision to trainees and/or unlicensed professional staff working toward licensure
Target Salary Range $72,000 - $74,000/annual Benefits and Total Rewards
