The Pediatric and Adolescent Psychologist provides psychological assessment, diagnosis, and referral information of a clinical nature through direct patient care to children referred to the University Developmental Assessment Clinics (UDAC). The Psychologist will work in all clinical programs at UDAC including the Child Development Clinic (CDP), Neonatal Follow-up Program (NFP) and the Heart Center Neurodevelopmental Program (HCNP). This position will work closely with a multidisciplinary team including developmental pediatricians and Nurse Practitioners, Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational and Physical Therapists, Registered Nurses and other Psychologists to provide assessments and diagnosis to children who have or are at high risk for developmental problems. Clinics are held in Salt Lake City, and twice a month in Provo.
May be potential for increase in FTE/hours in the future based on clinical needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Licensed Psychologist in the State of Utah. Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant must pass a required background investigation. Applicants must be prepared to demonstrate the ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. * Selects plans, coordinates, implements and interprets psychological services provided to patients including biofeedback, psychological and diagnostic testing and assessment. * Evaluates and reports on the quality of psychological services in compliance with state, federal and accrediting body's laws, rules, regulations and standards. * Documents, implements and provides necessary documentation of patient's treatment, maintains records and documentation to comply with state, federal and accrediting body's standards, rules and requirements. * Consults with members of the multi-disciplinary treatment team to discuss treatment plans, findings, treatment recommendations and treatment options for patients. * Collaborates with the medical, nursing and sworn staff to address the full spectrum of patient care. * Assists in the development of policies, procedures and standards for mental health services. * Achieves the best possible outcomes for diagnosis, treatment and outside referral for mentally ill patients. * Acts as a resource to management and staff regarding psychological services and treatment being offered to patients. * Provides consultation and/or expert testimony in court cases and/or hearings. * Protects the safety and rights of patients.
