HMHI day treatment programs provide 40 hours per week of clinical care to youth with mental health issues. Teenscope provides services for adolescents (12-18) and Kidstar provides services for children (6-12). We work on a multi-disciplinary team with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, education specialists, music and recreation therapists, and psychiatric technicians. The psychologist position would support youth in Teenscope and Kidstar.

The role of the psychologist in day treatment is to function as the primary therapist in creating and implementing treatment plans to build skills for young people and return them to the ability to function in daily life within 4-6 weeks. Psychologists in day treatment conduct individual and family therapy, run groups, and help shape milieu inventions. They are also the primary contact for families during the child/adolescent's admission to the program and often help to coordinate the team's plan for intervention. In addition, psychologists administer psychological testing to assist in diagnostic clarification.

Ideal candidates have strong clinical skills, have worked with adolescents, children and their families and have experience on a multidisciplinary team. Experience administering personality and intellectual assessments is required, and competence administering the ADOS is strongly preferred.

Proficiency with technology, including Google applications and Zoom, is also preferred.
