This position provides psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services of a clinical nature through direct patient care and consultation to University of Utah Health and Neuropsychiatric Institute patients.

Evaluates patients to determine status.
Provides direct psychological services for hospital and/or Neuropsychiatric Institute patients.
Collaborates with University and community agencies and departments to provide psychological and social services through outreach and consultation programs.
Develops mental health programs of a remedial, developmental, and preventive nature.
Trains and supervises pre-doctoral psychology interns and practicum students.
Assists in directing or working within agency program and support areas, as assigned by director.

Ability to provide patient care to patients and families resistant to treatment and delivering quality care within the constraints of managed care.
Current licensure as a Psychologist in the State of Utah.
One year experience in psychotherapy, group or family therapy within a clinical setting.
Preferred applicants will have completed an APA approved graduate program in clinical, counseling or school psychology, and an APA approved doctoral internship.
Experience evaluating and treating acute populations with evidence based practices is preferred.
Experience providing individual, couples / family therapy, and group therapy is also preferred.
Experience treating and assessing ASD is also helpful although this is not a requirement of the position.

This position is PRN, part-time, with flexible hours depending on clinical needs. PRN psychologists at UNI generally help to cover psychology staff vacations, holidays, FMLA, or help with coverage during times of peak census. It is usually possible to work around your existing schedule, for example, if you choose to and are available, you may be able to work afternoons / evenings or weekends.
Basic Life Support Health Care Provider card through American Heart Association or obtain within one month of hire.
