Licensed Psychologists are encouraged to consider a consulting position with Liberty Healthcare Corporation.
This position will support Pennsylvania's statewide adult protective services program and be responsible for conducting capacity evaluations of adults who have disabilities.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Working on an as-needed basis, when called upon, likely a few times monthly
Traveling throughout the region to meet with clients in their private homes or facility settings
Administering appropriate psychological assessments to determine competency
Writing comprehensive reports suitable for formal court proceedings
Fully completing assessments and submitting reports within a few weeks of initial notification
As a consultant Psychologist with Liberty Healthcare you would be paid according to a mutually agreed upon fee schedule. You will also be reimbursed for approved mileage and toll expenses.
You are a good fit for this position if you possess these attributes:
Licensed in Pennsylvania as a Psychologist
Experienced in administering capacity evaluations of people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities
Able to write comprehensive and cogent reports which are supported by accurate data
Pennsylvania's Adult Protective Services Law (Act 70) was enacted to provide protective services to adults between 18 and 59 years of age who have a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities. The APS Law establishes a program of protective service in order to detect, prevent, reduce and eliminate abuse, neglect and abandonment of adults in need. This program is operated by Liberty Healthcare Corporation on behalf of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Human Services.
