Job Summary:
The Psychologist at the National Center for Wellness and Recovery is primarily responsible for providing counseling services to patients and families struggling with addictive or compulsive behaviors in our OSU Medicine system. Working closely with an interdisciplinary team, the lead counselor will help develop and implement evidence-based interventions including individual and group therapy as well as in-person and virtual services.

Ability to lift and carry 20 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see and perform repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Education & Experience
Position Qualifications:
Required:
Ph.D./Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an accredited graduate program and completion of a post-doctoral year.
Active or eligible license in the State of Oklahoma as a health services psychologist.
On Dec. 7, 2021, a federal judge temporarily blocked the implementation of the federal contractor vaccination mandate and its associated guidance. Following the injunction, Oklahoma State University has, consistent with applicable law, paused the vaccination mandate.
Skills, Proficiencies, and Knowledge:
Requires a devoted interest in direct patient care. Requires strong analytical skills, advanced multi-tasking skills, advanced problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively plan. Computer skills are needed to operate electronic medical records and virtual visits. Good communication and leadership skills are a positive. Interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with faculty, students, patients, and providers.
