Summary

As a psychologist, you will administer direct clinical services to Epworth Psychological Services (EPS) clients. EPS is a community-based outpatient mental health clinic providing psychological evaluations, psychotherapy, and consultation to community members of all ages. Provisionally licensed psychologists will work under the supervision of a licensed clinical psychologist.

The successful candidate will foster teamwork, promote continuous quality improvement, participate in change efforts supporting Epworth's improvement of programmatic efforts, and diligently support programmatic efforts to maximize client outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide a full range of culturally sensitive and comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments (including, but not limited to psychoeducational assessments, parenting competency assessments, psychosexual evaluations, vocational assessments, risk assessments, personality assessments, mental health screenings, and comprehensive evaluations) to children, adolescents, and adults.

  • Administer, score, and interpret psychometric tests (including, but not limited to cognitive/IQ tests, measures of achievement, objective/projective personality tests, and symptom/behavior rating scales).

  • Prepare comprehensive reports including recommendations for intervention.

  • Provide individual, couples, family, or group psychotherapy to children, adolescents, or adults as needed.

  • Support a culture of continuous quality improvement (CQI) and fidelity of services by assisting in audits, supporting organization wide CQI initiatives, completing documents, case records, outcomes, audits in accordance with EPS policy and state/federal regulations.

  • Assist in generating referrals through outreach activities in the community.

  • Responsible for providing weekly coaching and supervision to EPS clinical interns including but not limited to creating learning objectives, documenting supervision, providing feedback to address performance issues, provide in-house trainings, and complete evaluations to communicate the academic progress of the intern's progress.

  • Adhere to EPS policies and standard operating procedures.

  • Complete documentation, case records, and outcomes in accordance with EPS policy and state/federal regulations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Provide supervision to EPS' clinical interns/post-doctoral trainees as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA approved program.

  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a psychologist in Missouri.

  • 2+ years' experience in delivering psychological evaluations and psychotherapy with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.

  • Experience with diverse populations.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills

  • Superior oral and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of assessment techniques, familiarity with various psychological theories and strong case conceptualization skills

  • Excellent knowledge of interventions/treatment modalities.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general professional journals or psychological reports.

  • Proficient in providing efficient and high-quality clinical services.

  • Adhere to EPS policies and standard operating procedures.

  • Able to participate in data driven discussions focused on program impacts and outcomes, utilization, incidents and best practices on a quarterly basis.

  • Knowledge of best-practices and ensure clinical fidelity in the provision of services.

  • Able to write clinical case notes and psychological reports.

  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from clients.

  • Analytical skills including the analysis of psychometric test results.

  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions with several abstract and concrete variables.

  • Adheres to agency rules, policies, procedures, and code of conduct including attendance, program/department specific procedures, social media guidelines, training requirements, and confidentiality.

  • Skill in developing and maintaining working relationships with colleagues, clients, and community agencies

  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel & Teams

Physical Requirements:

  • The physical requirement of this job includes sitting, standing, walking, and climbing stairs on a regular basis, lifting to 25lbs, pulling and/or pushing on occasion.

Working Environment:

  • Most of the work is performed in an office setting. May need to travel into the community occasionally.
