Primary Function:

  • Provide the highest quality clinical services to participants at the Joseph J. Peters Institute.

  • Provide Comprehensive Biopsychosocial Evaluations to participants in the Survivor Services Program.

  • Responsible for assuring the clinical quality of evaluation reports provided by self and clinicians and assuring timeliness of completion of reports (2 week turnaround).

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Provides Comprehensive Biopsychosocial Evaluations to participants in the Survivor Services Program.

  • Provides MSEs & Clinical Formulation for CBEs.

  • Attend clinical meetings and scheduled group consultation.

  • For treatment cases, maintain clinical records in accordance with agency, managed care, and licensing requirements, including

  • Complete Initial Resiliency/Treatment Plan Review within 15 days or 3 weeks of intake.

  • Complete updated Resiliency plans every 15th session or 90 days (whichever occurs first).

  • Complete progress notes within 24 hours of individual session (or 72 hours of group session) with participant.

  • Follow up appropriately with participants who have missed a session.

  • Complete discharge summary within 5 days of termination date.

  • Complete and provide statistical reports (case management and clinical hours) at the end of each week/pay period.

  • Seek out appropriate professional training.

  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with other agencies/organizations.

Major Job Criteria and Performance Standards:

  • Provides comprehensive Biopsychosocial Evaluations to participants in the Survivor services Program.

  • Submit completed evaluations within 2 weeks

  • Complete electronic medical record documentation within 24 hours of evaluation

  • For treatment cases, complete progress notes within 24 hours of individual session (or 72 hours of group session) with participant.

  • For treatment cases, follow up appropriately with participants who have missed a session.

  • For treatment cases, complete discharge summary within 5 days of termination date.

  • Complete and provide statistical reports (case management and clinical hours) at the end of each week/pay period.

  • Provides MSE & Clinical Formulation for CBE's.

Administrative RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises clinicians performing evaluation services.

  • Coordinate completion of the evaluation report in a timely fashion which provides the report for any required court dates.

  • Coordinate the timely and accurate submission of all evaluation related paperwork.

  • Reviews and edits reports submitted by clinicians

ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work effectively with other staff and contribute to the development of a team approach to treatment.

  • Provide input into new programs and work to implement more effective methods of delivering services.

  • Understand and communicate with other programs within the agency and work to foster a collaborative team approach across all programs.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand the impact of the caseload requirements on the financial performance of the agency.

  • Understand the payment source of each participant.

  • Complete all forms required for submission of bills for services in a timely manner.

  • Work with other staff to develop new treatment programs to promote the financial performance of the agency.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • A Doctoral Degree in a field related to clinical work.

  • Pennsylvania licensed psychologist.

CERTIFICATION, LICENSE, OR OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Pennsylvania licensed psychologist.

  • Possess a Doctoral Degree from an accredited program.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

  • Supervises/oversees evaluations completed by non-psychologist mental health professionals and practicum students as needed.

CONSULTATION RECEIVED:

  • Is invited to participate (and be compensated for participating) in group consultation with other contractors, employees, and the service director/coordinator.

SALARY: Grade 21; This a fee for service position and is not eligible for benefits. FFS Psychologists are compensated at a rate of $320.00 per biopsychosocial evaluation

Peters Institute, a nationally recognized provider serving adult perpetrators and survivors of sexual abuse, seeks fee for service contractors, fluent in Spanish. Compensation is $35 to $50 per hour based on qualifications and credentials. There are three programs within SRP: 1) Adolescents with sexual behavioral problems, 2) Adult Sexual Offenders and 3) Batterers of intimate partner violence. Applicants can apply to any or all of the three programs. Preference awarded to individuals with clinical experience/training in the Duluth model of Batterers' intervention services and/or evidenced based sexual offender services (both adolescent and adult). This position reports to the program coordinator and is a fee for service position and is not eligible for benefits. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Maintain the highest quality clinical services to all clients of JJPI * Conduct comprehensive bio-psychosexual evaluations for adult participants referred to the adult and adolescent outpatient program. * Interview participants and other parties involved in a participant's care. * Administer psychometric measures and interpret results. * Write comprehensive evaluation reports in a timely fashion * Collaborate with a supervising psychologist on determining DSM-5 diagnoses * Attend clinical meetings and scheduled supervision * Maintain clinical records in accordance with agency, managed care, and licensing requirements. * Conduct individual and/or group therapy sessions for adult and adolescent participants * Develop and maintain professional relationships with other agencies. * Maintain a caseload of participants. * Make initial contact with participant within five working days of assignment. * Complete an initial treatment/resiliency plan within the first two visits of participant contact. * Complete updated treatment/resiliency plans every 15th session or 90 days. * Complete clinical progress notes within 24 hours of a session. * Complete case management progress notes within 24 hours of activity. * Follow up appropriately with clients who have missed a session and continue appropriate outreach * Complete discharge summary within 48 hours of termination date. * Complete and submit utilization reports (case management and clinical hours) at the end of each week * Complete required court reports for court-involved clients * Maintain compliance with guidelines and requirements of various funders. * Work effectively with other staff and contribute to the development of a team approach to treatment. * Understand and communicate with other programs within the agency and work to foster a collaborative team approach across all programs. * Understand the impact of the caseload requirements on the financial performance of the agency. * Work with other staff to develop new treatment programs to promote the financial performance of the agency. * Promote the agency in interactions with other agencies and professionals. * Must maintain own liability insurance SKILLS: * Excellent interpersonal skills * Ability to meet timelines * Ability to communicate in writing and orally * Good analytical and troubleshooting skills * Spanish fluency a necessity EXPERIENCE: * Required two to three years clinical experience with populations served. * Independent practice license preferred.
