Job Summary Children#s of Alabama is seeking a full-time Psychologist to#provide evaluation and intervention to patients within the CoA Solid Organ Transplant Program#. Pediatric psychology is a growing service in the Behavioral Health Division of Children#s of Alabama which seeks to provide exemplary care to children from#diverse populations.####The Psychologist is expected to see an array of transplant candidates including liver, kidney and heart and provide both pre- and post-transplant evaluation and support and intervention#for children struggling with behavior disorders,#anxiety, depression, medical trauma,#and adjustment difficulties.#This position#requires#collaboration with families and#referring physicians to coordinate care and support the child#s#optimal functioning.#Should#time allow, the Psychologist may also participate in general consultation and liaison#activities to the general medical service. Pediatric Psychology hosts a post-doctoral fellowship and#is a rotation for University of Alabama at Birmingham#s#APA-accredited psychology graduate and#internship programs, providing opportunities to mentor and supervise trainees if desired.# Education Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an American Psychological Association-accredited program in psychology. # Completed internship from an#American Psychological Association-accredited program. # Preferred Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Pediatric or Health Psychology# Experience Preference will be given to candidates with pediatric experience and training.# # Current Post-Doctoral Psychology Fellows#are welcome to apply. . Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries Current license or license eligible to practice Psychology issued by the Board of Examiners in Psychology of the State of Alabama.
